Tobacco Company continues to produce new and new tobacco products which will help it to raise it income, because smoking ban decreased it.
For example new of the new tobacco product are snus. Snus are tea-bags, filled with mint-flavored tobacco. Smokers are apt to put with care this kind of smokeless tobacco between their teeth and gum, with no need to spit.
Tobacco Companies say that Snus' have become very popular in a short period of time. That’s why they decided to take the next step, other kind of smokeless tobacco product, totally dissolvable tobacco.
Cigarette Companies said that this kind of tobacco product will solve all kinds of problems in current smokers.
Tommy Payne with R.J. Reynolds said: "They don't have second hand smoke. They don't have a litter problem. The product actually dissolves in your mouth as opposed to having to spit or extract something like a patch from your mouth like other smokeless products."
R.J. Reynolds will introduce new tobacco products soon, but firstly it has to test three new products, such as: Camel sticks - that dissolve as the smoker suck them; mint tobacco strips - that look like breathe strips; and orbs - flavored dissolvable tablets that some say look and taste like candy, and there's the thing.
Critics said that R.J. Reynolds is doing what it did with Joe Camel, marketing not to adult smokers, but smoker wannabees.
The antismoking researcher, Dan Smith, explained: "Really, what you're doing with kids actually, it's kind of like a gateway drug. You're getting them addicted to nicotine, which then leads them to possibly wanting to do other things."
Anti-tobacco researchers are not agreed with Tobacco Companies that smokeless products are safer. Recently they found that just one Camel dissolvable delivers up to 300 percent of the nicotine found in just one cigarette.
Payne warning that the new smokeless products are not candy but they're tobacco products. Even R.J. Reynolds said that their new dissolvable have warning labels where it is write that it's illegal for kids to buy them, and, yeah, they're not completely safe, but they're for adults.
The also reported that these products at least should be made available for those who can't or won't quit.
